Synopsis

Super Rookie (신입사원: rookie employee) is an intelligent comedy which gives hope and courage to young people going through difficult times.

It is a story of a young man (Kang Ho) who gets a job in a prestigious company due to a computer error. He doesn't have a great family or educational background and is regarded as a slacker in the traditional terms. Worst yet, he seems to spend his life devoted to reading comic books, playing cards, kick boxing, and the like. However he is spirited, street smart, athletic, loyal, and charismatic - especially with the ladies. The drama reveals how he gets his new job, his work-life, and the love and passions in his life in a very interesting way. He never gets discouraged despite all of life’s difficulties. Kang Ho’s high spirits and Mi-ok’s efforts to improve her life give today’s younger generation a chance to look at their own lives and ponder what’s truly valuable.

Ok you guys, I'm watching this at the moment, the deal I made with myself is one chapter of the book, 1 episode during the weekend :D the actresses in this drama are so beautiful, looks like the content is predictable cuz i've been watching a lot of this type, but its still so appealing. I hate the guy, hate him, hate him!!! Not the "haha" type of drama, I have always watched comedies mainly so this is for a change. Enjoy! ^^

This is absolutely my favourite drama so far. Yoon Eun Hye (stared in Goong) is so cute in this drama. The main female character is very annoying at first but she will change later, plus everything she does is so funny. If you have't seen this, it is sure recommended!!! Two thumbs up from me ^^

Synopsis

Based on a series of true stories posted by Ho-sik Kim on the Internet describing his relationship with his girlfriend. These were later transformed into a best-selling book and the movie follows the book closely.

As the film opens we are introduced to Kyun-woo, a kind-hearted but at times naive college student who seems to keep getting into trouble. On his way home one night he encounters a beautiful but completely smashed young woman who causes a scene in the subway, calls him "honey", and then passes out. With the eyes of the other subway passengers upon him, he has little choice but to take responsibility for her. Thus begins his relationship with the at-times charming, at-times violent damsel who steals his heart.
Much of the film is structured around the bizarre antics of Kyun-woo's newfound girlfriend. After she passes out yet again, Kyun-woo looks at her blissful face and promises to himself that he will save her, and right whatever it is that troubles her. This proves to be much more of a challenge than he expects.

Synopsis

Park Eun Wook (Lee Dong Wook) worked as a doctor in a clinic in Hanoi where he fell in love with a Vietnamese girl Ly Thi Vu( Kim Ok Bin). Summary:

The film is based on a novel written by Gulyeoni. The story is about a cheerful high school student named Han Ye Won. She is a sweet, clumsy and warm girl. On the other side there is Ji Eun Song, a student from vocational school and well-known as a bully. He is hot- tempered and rude but deep inside he is longing to be loved.

One day, clumsily, Ye-Won leaves a message on the school website to reply to Ji Eun Song's impolite message. She is shocked when someone calls her mobile and threatens her. Gradually, her best friend, Lee Kyung Won, tells her who Ji Eun Song is. Ji Eun Song sends Han Ye-Won a message on her mobile: he will wait for her in front of the main gate. She is so scared that she and Lee Kyung Won decide to jump over the school wall. Unfortunately, the moment Ye-Won jumps, Ji Eun Song is standing exactly at the other side of wall. She falls on him and accidentally their lips meet. Raising his voice, Eun Song asks for her responsibility; she is astonished. His friend explains that Eun Song has never even held hands with a girl. Since she is the first girl who kisses him, as a consequence she must marry him.

The story continues very fast, at the beginning Ye-won doesnt have any feelings for Eun Song, she even rejects his invitation to come to his birthday party. Unknowingly, Eun Song has fallen in love with her; but he is not the kind of guy who knows how to express his inner feelings. He is jealous when Ye-Won is approached by other guys but he doesnt know how to be with someone he loves.

Although he is rude and bad-tempered, Eun Song always pardons Ye-Wons faults and clumsiness. One thing he couldn't bear was when he found out that Ye-Won went out with Kim Han Sung, his senior and the one he hates a lot. The broken-hearted Ji-Eun Song decides to leave Korea following his mother to the USA. Will Ye-Won reunite with Eun Song or accept Han Sung's love? I will leave the answer for you.

Synopsis

The story begins with a man named Kang Bok Goo (Bi), a tough fighter who has had many relationships with many women. Bok Goo's older brother, Kang Min Goo (Kim Young Jae), left Bok Goo ten years ago when they got into a fight. He had never seen him in ten years.

One day, he meets his brother for the first time in ten years. They chat on a tall building, talking about how their lives had been for the past ten years. On a giant t.v. screen, it announces the wedding of the famous superstar, Cha Eun Suk (Shin Min Ah) and Kim Joon Sung (Lee Ki Woo), the youngest son of a powerful company. Min Goo, in delusion that the Eun Suk he sees on the t.v. is the real Eun Suk, walks to the t.v. and falls of the building. Bok Goo sends his hyung [older brother] to the hospital and finds out that the damage done to his brother was so great, most of his brain is ruined and his brother is now a human vegetable. Bok Goo also finds out that the only reason his hyung did this was because Cha Eun Suk is his ex-girlfriend, though they broke up, he still loves her as she still loves him.

This marriage was only made because Eun Suk was drunk and she slept on stairs, Joon Sung only tried to wake her up, but he fell over her making it look like he was raping her. Someone caught footage of this and revealed it to the public. Joon Sung's father was ashamed of his son and got angry at him, and the only way to clear things up with his father was to marry Eun Suk though she strongly disagreed, she had to anyway to avoid shame to her family.

Bok Goo gets angry with Eun Suk because he believes she is the reason her brother is a human vegetable. To get her back for it, he applies to be her bodyguard and finds a way to make her fall in love with him by doing all the things his hyung had done for her in the past to help her remind herself of Min Goo. Bok Goo, in the act of making her fall in love with him, falls in love with Eun Suk and from time to time, forgets what she had done to his hyung. Eun Suk falls for it though, although she resisted. Little does she know that Bok Goo only plans to break up with her so she can feel the pain his hyung felt when she broke up with him...

The King and the Clown (Wang ui Namja) is a 2005 South Korean film, adapted from the 2000 Korean play titled "Yi", ("You") about Yeonsangun of Joseon, a Joseon dynasty king who falls in love with a court clown who mocks him. The movie is based on a small passage from the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty that briefly mentions the king's favorite clown. It was the highest grossing (over $85,000,000 in domestic receipts) Korean film in history with 12.3 million viewers, surpassing total admissions of Silmido and Taegukgi until the horror film The Host surpassed the record in summer of 2006. Production costs were relatively modest for a Korean film, approximately $4.5 million dollars.

There are alternative titles of this movie: The King's Men or The King's Man (the literal translation of the Korean title) and All the King's Men (working title).

This film was chosen by Korea as its submission for the Oscars in the best foreign film category.

I haven't read this Japanese manga before, but the content of this one is quite good. What I like about this series is that it has many circumstances, not like in many Korean series, there's not much happening. In general, this series is good and worths watching, something emotional, something thrilling and humorous.

However, the acting of some characters is not very natural and the music is not very suitable sometimes. There are 2 scenes that they use again and again throughout the series, one is the sunny blue sky, the other is the scene of the light in front of the building. And more, if you notice, the advertisement exposure is quite obvious in this series :D

In spite of all these flaws, this series still attract me. I like how the characters express their love and the way of thinking of Ahmon's father and Yue's mom. So, overall, I would give this movie 8 grade out of 10. ^^
